What do you do when you've had a really bad day? Ask a friend of mine...buy a porsche. Since I can't quite afford, I drive hers instead, occasionally, short distances, on a bad day. 

 We went to Troubadour-popular/historic music venue- for a Vans event a friend of ours coordinated.

Cher showed up...sat 5 feet away but I felt like too much of a freak to take a picture with the flash on :)

Who says sequin pants are only for New Years? Love that these pants were given to me by this same friends mother in law, who wore them as her ski pants in the late 70's which she matter-of-factly refers to (in her french accent) as her 'winter sport' pants. It's true, they have stirrups. Duh, I should have known...? Sequin pants on the ski slopes in the 70's brought to a rock concert in 2011. That's the awesome thing about a great piece of clothing -reinvent and you can wear it forever.

road trips

This winnebago 'lives' on my street (hardly. ever. moves.) and annoys the hell out of me since it takes up so much curb space and I'm often searching for street parking, as most of us in west hollywood are. But, made the best of it this morning realizing this thing had the same vibe as my outfit...wished I had a guitar to hold.

"Hellooo, is there anybody in there? Just nod if..." (had pink floyd running though my head).  Luckily no one was 'home'.

Finally my artist/fashion friend had the dinner party we have been trying to plan for months at her downtown loft ...fell in love with her place. Everything is inspiring with little creative touches added everywhere...anthropologie esque. Drank wine through the night with close friends I'm also lucky to work with...

 Realized I hadn't payed respect to 2 of my daily hair products. The Paul Mitchell spray wax I swear by...my hair dresser made me a believer and I love her for it. It's very light which prevents the greasy effect, takes away frizzies/fly-aways, and brings out any/all layers in a cool/shaggy way adding texture and volume. Most days I only use this for product. However, when I need to be sure it holds I add the Bumble and Bumble hairspray as my finishing touch. Of all the hairsprays I've tried, and the list is long, B&B wins. (the extra strength or regular are both awesome depending on your hair)

Both usually available at Target. 

(Paul Mitchell salons guarantees the spray wax, and B&B is now available at Rite Aid as well).
