 Above is the kitchen from "Something's Gotta Give"...was on TV the other day and it sucked me in even though I've seen it several times before. I love the interiors of Diane Keaton's house in that movie. Everything is white and clean.

These last 2 were my inspiration for the bedroom for my recent move. I actually have that black and white bedspread, and I wanted to tie it in with green somehow. Thank you Anthropologie for the ideas...

 I really want a new shabby chic bookshelf that is 8-10 feet tall. And I REALLY need a chandelier in there. Just sayin.

So. my last post said I was 'planning' on wearing my snakeskin cowboy boots today, but, I opted for my new high waisted bell bottom jeans instead. After being on a hunt for a new pair I was stoked to discover these at none other than Forever 21 (who are really putting other retailers out of business these days). Today just felt like a jeans day...but maybe it's just mondays that tend to make me feel that way..

...in Texas, ya'll. Was missing my lone-star state today...talking to a close friend back home reminded me of our college days in san marcos and austin...the good old days. Then, I talked to my mom in dallas, where I grew up, and I wished I could be there with her as she opened the bottle of wine I heard pop open on the other end of the line...

 So tonight as I sipped on wine myself, I happened to come across this 2010 spread of (one of) my favorite style icons Erin Wasson, who is from TX herself. Perhaps that's one reason I liked her instantly. Texans tend to have that effect on me. 

These photos were shot in Austin, hence the hippie vibe. They just gave me inspiration to wear my snake skin cowboy boots tomorrow..they were a gift from someone close to me, bought in no place other than TX :)

all about orange

At New York Fashion Week, bright orange lipstick literally popped off the runway...it made a statement that was fun, flirty and fresh, and it's a trend you can easily wear this spring into fall to be ahead of the fashion curve.(stylelist.com)

 For a more affordable price, check out the Revlon Moondrops-Frost lipstick in '24K orange' ($8) at your local drugstore. For a bit more ($22), Illamasque (Sephora) makes great orange options in 'Blaze' and 'Ignite'. (Not the color shown below here)...

Even with that expression that says so much, this lady loves her orange! Beauty trends come back just like clothing :)

Was a beautiful Monday in LA...called for getting out of west hollywood and exploring Hermosa Beach (where I've decided the majority of my summer weekends will be spent) which somehow, I'd never been to. Love these sunny cold days, even though I was complaining about being cold half the time.

Forgot how much swinging can make you forget your age...

...tested out the world famous veggie burger created by "the spot" vegan restaurant. It was worth the trip.
