mini pleats

I forgot all about this skirt I bought years ago. With pleats so in style right now I was feeling pretty happy to have rediscovered it in the back of my closet. 

I wore some lace 'bike' shorts underneath it juuuust in case the wind blew :)

On a sidenote, I'm also already getting good use out of my new messenger bag!

Additions

Just what I need, another bag and pair of shoes! 

Well, I actually have been wanting a brown vintage inspired messenger bag (and am reminded of this every time I go to reach for my black one that has more of a winter feel). So, when I found this baby below at H&M this weekend, I decided it was a perfect fix. 

The shoes however (Volatile) I saw pop up on an Ad on my favorite fashion site, and yes, I gave in. I was relieved to open that box upon arrival and see how cute they look on...you can just never be certain with shopping online. Shoes are the only thing I'll attempt to try.

Seeing Spots

I went to the Beverly Center over the weekend  (had to hit up Sephora for new makeup I'll write about soon)...but one commonality I noticed with all the stores was their polka dot merchandising displays front and center. baby doll

This sheer baby doll dress has been hanging lonely in my closet awhile...after wearing it today I'm wondering why I've been ignoring it for so long. (I seem to have so many clothes that I 'intend' on wearing and never get around to). The fabric of this dress is perfect for the recent hot weather, plus it's just so comfortable and freeing...wore a cropped white leather jacket with it just in case. 

LA weather can be fickle, just like LA in general :)
