...heading back to my home state this weekend to see my mom for Mothers Day! Although I grew up in Dallas with more of a 'city' up-bringing and lifestyle, there are certain things about TX that are true no matter where you go. Remembering wide open fields, willie nelson concerts, hot summer nights, lightning bugs, floating the river in San Marcos, pick up trucks, lower greenville & deep ellum, camping, cowboy boots, cold beer, the state fair, seasons that change, 'real' mexican food/chili con queso, going to the lake, southern accents....and things like that....
