Took a short road trip to the sleepy town of Ojai Valley for a mini getaway on Valentine's Day/weekend....from wine tasting, walking up & down the main strip, stopping at every vintage and antique shop, sunset gazing at Meditation Mount, lounging at the Capri Hotel and dining at the Deer Lodge ~ we squeezed as much in as we could. It has been almost 2 years exactly since my last Ojai visit...I forgot how intense the color green can look as you start to see the open farmland. As you drive into the Valley, the colors and mountains pop to a point where you don't feel like you're even in California... it feels a lot like Hawaii. Especially once you see all the fruit orchards and orange trees. There are so many options to run away for the weekend from LA ~ Ojai seems to always be a safe, relaxing bet. Just another reason to love Southern Cali...
