The Skin Sessions

My fashion consultant/stylist friend Margaret (from The Sche Report) is currently working with a new talented Italian leather and suede designer who's brand is called The Skin Sessions. Margaret had a few samples of the Skin Session's current top styles on hand, and let me wear them over the weekend to test out how they felt and fit. I'm a big fan. I like the simplicity of the designs and cut of sharp lines, along with the way the fabric felt against my skin. There is no lining on the inside of the tops, so you get the real raw feeling of skin against your own skin. The designs are bold and have an edgy chic vibe that isn't over done.... right up my alley with the way I like to dress lately. The pieces are also versatile and can be work day or night, dressed up or down, depending on the occasion and how you choose to style them...

"The Skin Sessions is a luxury leather capsule collection for women designed and created by Dara Lynn Schlissel. Fusing delightfully wearable fashion with a nomadic, moody, rock-chic sensibility, The Skin Sessions garments are forward yet timeless, a sensual series of extroverted basics for the woman who owns her path.  Designed in Brooklyn, The Skin Sessions collection is composed of Italian leathers and suedes sourced in Manhattan’s garment district and manufactured by hand in one of New York’s premier ateliers. Two top styles and one dress style are currently available for custom order. Collectors can expect seven more styles available for purchase in time for the 2013 holiday season. " check out their site HERE
