Cat Naps

Coffee and catching up on needed sleep was what this weekend was all about. Put my inspirational board together too finally - a compilation of favorite fashion photos, musicians, artists and quotes to motivate :)Woke up today and was jaw dropped it was close to noon (it is almost impossible for me to sleep late now-a-days)....then realized it's daylight savings. Sunlight until 8pm? Yes please.

Melrose Music

A lightweight maxi and loose crop tee was perfect for this warm day of walking around the real Melrose Ave...still one of my favorite ways to spend a lazy afternoon. The unique, edgy and quirky personalities it encompasses make it an awesome place for people watching. I like seeing the curious tourists mixed in with local hipsters wearing mo-hawks...it's the rough edge 90's grunge feel lingering in the air that hits my soft spot the most. Browsing row after row of trendy boutiques, neon lights and gaudy store fronts selling old records, books, jewelry and antiques... easy to waste time here.

Ark&Co

Went with the classic/basic black and (off) white today...I swear I am becoming part leather I wear this ark&co jacket so much. My drapey sheer top happens to be designed by the same brand, and is also a favorite. I love the subtle detail in this clothing line... the buttons tied together on the back of this blouse or the zipper placement on the jacket are just a couple to name...

On a 'foot-note'....these recently gifted booties from shoemint are possibly becoming my most comfortable shoes. It seems like they mold to my feet more and more each time I wear them :) Did I mention the heel height is a perfect 3 inches? For people 5'9 and above... you understand what I'm sayin'!

polka dot roof tops

After being on the hunt for a navy polka dot blouse the last month, I stumbled across this dress last weekend at Wasteland and decided to settle. It hangs somewhat loosely like an over sized blouse would, and can be worn so many different ways....always a perk:) It's a simple look that still makes a statement....navy and white dots have a vintage vibe I'm loving lately.

Running on Empty

So much for an entire weekend of relaxation...I was brought back to reality on Sunday when I had 500 million errands to run....(by errand # 8 I was already getting a little punchy). Note to self: never leave a weekend day as the one to 'get things done' in this hectic city. L.A traffic + a gas light on empty are never a good thing! At least it was warm enough out for a tank top :)

Burn Out

Feeling a little "burn out" in my burn out velvet kimono. Quick hotel get-aways are always good for times like this...love what balcony views of palm trees and the ocean can do for ones relaxation level :)
