GUESS?

Yesterday was an awesome 'work' day. GUESS welcomed a group of us from FIDM to tour their global headquarters located near downtown LA...always fun to get out of the office, meet industry partners and see hands on where the design process actually happens.
After taking the tour of this giant compound, I get why people who get hired want to stay there...inspiration from famous icons (Claudia Schiffer, Madonna, Isabella Rossellini etc) and quotes all over the walls, flat screen TVs and couches, a huge cafe with chefs making whatever you want for lunch, retail GUESS stores on site (G by Guess, Guess by Marciano, Guess Kids, Accessories..) and high vaulted ceilings with open design space.
The coolest part to me was seeing the founders/owners, the Marciano brothers Paul & Maurice, walking through the cafe during lunch time, and standing in line like everyone else. It really seems like the type of working environment people wish for in the fashion industry.
