Last week I spent a fun afternoon at Neiman Marcus in Topanga Canyon, where Fashion Director/SVP Ken Downing presented Spring 2012 trends during a private in-store event. Ken's highlighted trends for this season include all shades of pink, yellow as the new neutral, scuba/sportswear influences, mixing and matching prints of all types (fancy pants as he calls them!) and tribal inspired with an art deco feel...to name a few. I enjoyed the intimate setting of this trunk-like fashion show and the entertaining commentary from Ken that came along with it. Aside from the designer clothing and amazing styling, his remarks in-between outfit descriptions tend to have guests

Backstage with stylist Margaret Merritt who is also the Director of The Agency Arizona (AND is my favorite Aunt/soul mate...she gets the credit for sparking my interest in fashion years ago!)
