Pictures of my mom and I...she always dressed me so cute when I was little! I used to cling to her knee when she would drop me off at pre-school...okay, and maybe even college ;) She always encouraged me to go live my own life and do something different...probably part of the reason I was able to leave Texas and try California out, which is now (after many years) my other 'home'. Maybe I'll get her to move out West to the beach one day. For now, loving being back in Texas this Mothers Day!
My parents loved Van Morrison. I remember being in bed sick as a kid and my big brother coming in my room blasting this song on the stereo, lip singing and playing the air guitar to cheer me up.

ReplyDeleteAww...my dad would play me that song too! Besides "Green Eyes" by Coldplay, I think we're the only eye color to be celebrated in song. :) The first photo of you and your mom is too precious. Love it! <3
